New accessible fitness park

New accessible fitness park

Sport is good for your physical health and mental state. Many Winnipeggers enjoy fitness and workout as family time, for sport and soul recreation.

But some people do not have the ability or limited abilities to workout at regular gyms and fitness locations.

So Whyte Ridge Community Centre opens new accessible fitness park. The new Whyte Ridge Accessible Fitness Park was officially opened on Saturday. All the exercises are performed primarily with your own body weight. The park has been built specifically for people with accessibility issues.

The cost to open the park was $50,000 while another $15,000 was donated to make the community centre accessible.

Also, a camp in Winnipeg is aiming to give everyone a chance to learn how to ride a bike. Winnipeg’s St. Amant, which is a centre and foundation that helps people with developmental disabilities, is taking part by playing host for this year’s camp.
