Canada post is ready to deliver legal marijuana

Canadian postal services are always ready for innovations and using it to help and serve the Canadian people. Starting today, October 17th marijuana is legal to grow, sell and to buy throughout Canada. Doesn’t matter if you are using it or not, cannabis is coming, it is already here and as of today, it is sold in your local stores and online. People are still debating if it is good for Canada, what effect will it have on the youth and if it was the right decision to legalize it, we have to face the fact – cannabis is legal.

Businesses across the country, from growers and retailers to the tech and tourism sectors, are preparing to reap a windfall from legal marijuana. Many new job positions are expected to open, in information area, business, medical and tourism, that last expected to expand greatly and bring more tourists to visit Canada.

The delivery companies throughout Canada say they are ready for such adult-only packages delivery. All the security precautions are taken and setup, staff members are instructed and ready to safely and securely deliver legal marijuana throughout Canada, as well as more money to local and federal budgets from taxes and tourism.

The law states: You can’t buy cannabis if you’re under 18 (though you may have to be 19 in some provinces), you can grow up to four plants at home (except in Manitoba and Quebec, where you can’t) and you’ll be able to carry up to 30 grams outside your residence. You can also share up to 30 grams of cannabis with other adults.

Canada Post has been delivering medical cannabis since 2013, but is still working to ensure those involved are trained ahead of legalization, said Legault.

Canada Post declined to provide an estimate on expected volumes, but Quebec’s Societe des alcohols du Quebec set a required capacity of between 20,000 to 30,000 parcels a week in its tender for delivery contracts. In any case, the number of postal deliveries of cannabis will rapidly increase, we can only guess and estimate how much will it increase, but no information from Canada Post yet, as today is the first day of cannabis becomes legal nationally.

So if you are an adult and would like to just order legal marijuana online, there will be no problem with its delivery to your door. The package will be sealed, no labels or other indications of what is inside, to ensure its secure and safe delivery to its recipient. So now you can just get in front of your computer, explore the variety of legal pot distributors and online stores and simply order marijuana in legal quantity and get it delivered straight to your door. Fellow Winnipeggers, let’s all be smart and responsible and enjoy it if you decide to participate, follow the new law and regulations and do not share cannabis with minors.
