Last week, Bob Heber, a man who has intellectual disabilities was named Selkirk's Citizen of the Year.
Bob Heber became the 33rd person who received this award. He spent most of his life doing all kinds of volunteering activities, and only a few people can be compared to this great man.
The man said that he was very surprised and glad to receive such an award in front of hundreds of people who were present in the hall. Bob felt that he was moving in the right direction the whole his life.
Inclusion Selkirk executive director stated that the work of a man is truly respectable. Not being a member of the organization, he did a great number of good things for his community, so he deserved his reward like no one else.
Inclusion Selkirk is a non-profit organization and helps people with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to it, eleven people managed to get a job during the last year. The main goal of the organization is to help people who suffer from such problems to become part of society and to live a full life.
