Dustin Byfuglien fined for slashing Calgary Flames forward

Winnipeg Jets is an amazing team and has a huge army of fans and supporters.

With five wins in their last six games, the Jets are now just a single point out of first place in the tough Central Division. And they’ve been doing it all different ways. From blowout wins to comeback victories, to just hanging on at the end, the feeling around this group is every game is winnable.

The NHL has fined Winnipeg defenceman Dustin Byfuglien US$2,500 for slashing Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau.

The incident occurred late in the Flames’ 4-1 win at Winnipeg on Thursday night, December 27th.

Winnipeg Jets fans give big support for the team at every game, and fans can get rewarded with the team win or with a much better gift. Thanks to Patrik Laine and the amazing game he showed last weekend, one lucky Jets fan is now $1 million richer, it is actually $50,000 a year for 20 years.

Laine scored a very rare five goals against the St. Louis Blues, a five-goal game means a Million Dollar prize through Safeway/Sobey's Score & Win contest plus $100,000 for the fourth goal, and $1,000 in gift cards for the third goal, for whoever is in the draw that night.

On Saturday, November 24th that happened to be Christopher Haley of Winnipeg, the company tweeted Saturday night, a great night for the team and the fans.

Congratulations to our fellow Winnipegger and let's hope for the win in the next game! Go Jets Go!
