Chris Randle of Winnipeg Blue Bombers is cut loose

Our own Winnipeg Blue Bombers is a great team with a bright future and the fans show their support each and every game! The last game was a big failure for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, unfortunately, Calgary team was better and finished the game on top.

The Bombers announced on Wednesday, January 9th they’ve released Randle after five seasons with the football club.

Randle, 30, joined the Bombers through a trade in 2014 after playing two seasons for the Calgary Stampeders. He appeared in a total of 75 regular season games for the Bombers where he accumulated 12 interceptions, two sacks, and three forced fumbles. He also made 217 defensive tackles.

Randle was a big part of the team and played for Blue Bombers for many seasons. It’s a bitter moment to say goodbye to such great team member, but it is just time to move on.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Monday morning that star kicker Medlock – named the Most Outstanding Special Teams Player in each of his three seasons as a Bomber – has agreed to a two-year contract extension.

A 35-year-old Medlock has a career field goal percentage of 86.5 percent – second best in CFL history.

Medlock was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2016 and has played in 128 career CFL games over an eight-year career.

We all hope a star-kicker will bring all the luck to our team and show only the best results playing for Blue Bombers this upcoming season.

Fellow Winnipeggers, everyone who loves and supports Blue Bombers, get your tickets early for the next game or for the whole season! Let us all come together and show our support for our city team. If you are not going to visit the game, let us plan a game night at home with friends and family!
