This is what Winnipeggers can do this weekend

Despite the fact that the weather will not be the most pleasant in Winnipeg at the weekend (cooling to -30 and strong wind is expected), we do not recommend you to stay at home, because you can have a lot of fun!

So, what to do this weekend in Winnipeg?

1. FortWhyte Alive Winterfest

We offer you to declare war to cold and to head to FortWhyte on Sunday. There you can go skiing, sledding, ice skating, playing snowballs and spending time outdoors in all other merry ways. If you can not ski, do not worry, professional instructors will teach you. If you plan to skate, do not forget to take your skates. Skis and sleds will be available.

Children will be able to participate in the underwater fishing tournament.

FortWhyte will work from 11 to 16, the main thing- you should wear warm clothes not to get cold there!  Warm tea and coffee will also be available there.

2. Beyond Platform 9¾

Are you ready to visit the greatest house of magic on the entire planet? It is time to wear magical clothes and to visit Beyond Platform 9¾.

You can experience the atmosphere of the first four Harry Potter books, listen to excerpts from them and enjoy the music from the cult films. Take part in contests and win prizes related to your favourite books.

Beyond Platform 9¾ will be on Friday and Saturday evening. All Harry Potter fans should not miss such an event! Tickets can be bought online.

3. Ode to Beck

Do you want to enjoy great music? Then this option is for you!

Beck is an American musician who was very popular in the 90s. His music covers such styles as folk, funk, soul, hip-hop, electronic, alternative rock, country and even psychedelia. On Saturday, a band from Winnipeg is going to perform Beck’s best songs.

Do not miss your chance to spend a great musical evening, take the family and come to Ode to Beck! Tickets cost $15.
