Winnipeg Folk Festival is going to welcome the world-class stars

Grammy-winner Kacey Musgraves, indie rockers Death Cab for Cutie will arrive to Winnipeg Folk Festival.

Winnipeg Folk Festival will be on July 11-14, and more than seventy artists will perform during these four days. On Wednesday, the full lineup of the festival has already become known.

So, Jason Mraz will perform on Friday evening and Half Moon Run – on Saturday.  Kacey Musgraves will close the festival on Sunday evening.

Some of the artists will provide workshops. For example, Snorri Helgason, MAMMUT, Ylja and FM Belfast.

Winnipeg Folk Festival will also celebrate the 100th birthday anniversary of American folk hero Pete Seeger.

"You can look forward to carving a musical kind of journey through the festival that's just kind of unique to your own tastes. You can take what you like and leave the rest," artistic director Chris Frayer said.

Several singers that were very popular in the past are also going to take part in the festival: K'Naan and Hawksley Workman.

Also, Half Moon Run, the Sheepdogs, Alvvays, Charlotte Day Wilson, Kathleen Edwards, Colter Wall, The Lone Bellow, The Devil Makes Three and Car Seat Headrest will perform.
