Over $1400 speeding fine for a teen

Over $1400 speeding fine for a teen

Manitoba has some of the highest speeding fines in all of North America, local people should know not to speed ever, but apparently, some either are not aware or don’t care about the rules, the law, and some wallet-hurting fines.

RCPM recently pulled over a driver on a Manitoba highway, he was going 209 km/h in a 100 km/h zone in the dark. When stopped the vehicle, police found a teen behind the wheel, a 19-year-old driver was trying to show off in front of his female friends in the car. But all he got is $1476.00 speeding ticket and his driver license review with Manitoba Public Insurance, so now he or his parents will have to dig deep into their pockets to cover the fine.

Police said even though this ticket was pretty impressive, it is not the most expensive speeding mistake they`ve seen, just at the beginning of August 2018, a driver on highway 10 south of Minnedosa got a $1752 ticket for going 125 km/h in a 60 km/h construction zone. Officers said, drivers have to respect the law and traffic regulations, especially be careful in zones like this, were fines are nearly doubled.
