Why Canada Post workers vote for strike?

Why Canada Post workers vote for strike?

At first, it was just a gossip, but now it’s a real possibility. It began with few union representatives and spokesperson talking about a request from postal workers in large cities to get more pay. But now it is a fact, past Monday, postal workers across Canada voted in favor of the national strike to start on September 26, in case the Union is not able to reach an agreement for a new contract with the Crown Corporation.

Canada Post Union has been working on negotiating separate contracts for urban and rural post workers since 2017. But unfortunately the negotiation process hit the wall, none of the sides have a solution, which pushes workers to the last resort.

Apparently now the majority of workers got to an agreement for a strike at the end of the month, stating they were left no other choice.
