Winnipeg residents said their opinion on reopening of Portage and Main intersection for people to walk there.
So, it became known that Portage and Main remains closed for walking.
Yesterday during the mayoral elections, a survey was held regarding the opening of Portage and Mine, and about 65 percent of people opposed the opening.
40 years ago, this intersection was closed, and despite the fact that most of the mayoral candidates intended to open it again, people said their opinion on this matter.
The acting mayor also spoke in favour of the opening but he stated that he respected the choice of the inhabitants of the city.
