Body found Christmas morning in Winnipeg

Crime is on the rise throughout Canada and in Winnipeg in particular. Our city police dedicate a lot of manpower and recourses to fight crime, to locate and punish those responsible for criminal activity in Winnipeg. Christmas morning was a busy time for Winnipeg Police with a body was found on Logan Avenue and a homicide in the West End.

It was just before noon when officers responded to reports of a body in front of businesses in the 1900 block of Logan near Route 90. Foul play has not been ruled out, although police are waiting on autopsy results before moving forward in the investigation.

Earlier the same day, approximately 7:15 a.m. police were called to the 400 block of Victor Street, where they found an adult male in critical condition. The victim was delivered to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries, but later he died.
