First floating water park coming to Manitoba

The spring is here and the summer is just around the corner, many great family events are available now and even more coming to Manitoba. The days are starting to get a little bit longer, it is time for family fun, let’s make some memories!

Discover Minnedosa said a floating water park big enough for 100 people is coming to Minnedosa Lake. The park is being developed by Calgary-based Splish Splash Water Park.

The announcement said they have set a target of opening in late June this year and various government agencies have granted approval, but the custom structure still has to be built and shipped from the United Kingdom.

Life jackets will be mandatory at the park, and lifeguards will be on duty.

To remind you, Winnipeg`s Norwood Outdoor Pool is closed and will be replaced with other facilities after the public services department decided that it would be too expensive to maintain a 56-year-old water facility.

The Protection and Public Service Committee will consider a recommendation on the closure of an old outdoor pool and a pool for children and creating of new territory with a gaming structure, picnic tables, and a beach volleyball court on September 11th.

So the news about the new water park in Manitoba is a great alternative to regular outdoor pools! Please research and plan your family trip and book the tickets for your friends and family.

Share this wonderful time with your family and loved ones, enjoy the spring in our beautiful city and do not forget to create magic not only for your children but for everyone around you!
