Discover Minnedosa said a floating water park big enough for 100 people is coming to Minnedosa Lake. The park is being developed by Calgary-based Splish Splash Water Park.

The announcement said they have set a target of opening in late June this year and various government agencies have granted approval, but the custom structure still has to be built and shipped from the United Kingdom.

Life jackets will be mandatory at the park, and lifeguards will be on duty.

To remind you, Winnipeg`s Norwood Outdoor Pool is closed and will be replaced with other facilities after the public services department decided that it would be too expensive to maintain a 56-year-old water facility.
