Winnipeg road construction work continues. As we seen in the last couple of week a lot of construction project are finished, new or reconstructed roads are open, new bike lanes appear all over the city, mostly in the downtown area, but some projects are obviously behind schedule and still in progress.
As shown in the photo, road construction on York Avenue and Fort Street is still in progress, this zone remains closed for at least two weeks now. Workers push to finish the project and open the area for cars.
The city authorities hope for understanding from the citizens as all of these construction projects are carried out to improve the city`s infrastructure and driving efficiency. Also, remember that speeding fines nearly doubled in the construction zones. Please be patient and allow workers to do their job to make the city a better and safer place to drive!
