Teen charged in $20k liquor robberies

At the beginning of the week, Police arrested a teenager who is responsible for multiple Liquor Mart robberies. There is a huge amount of thefts in liquor stores nearly 1300 reported this year, which a big increase in comparison to previous years and there are still four-month left in 2018. This statistics is at least concerning, but also show a bigger problem in the city where crime lever constantly rises and police are not capable of preventing it from increasing every year.

Monday morning Winnipeg Police arrested a 16-year-old teen and charged him with 18 separate Liquor Mart thefts for a total of $19.270 worth of alcohol and other goods. The suspect was arrested on Banning Street.

As per police that happened during a series of robberies between June and September of this year. Different Liquor Mart stores were robbed throughout Winnipeg, possibly more incidents will be added to the list with the investigation still continues.
