Two men try to flee from moving taxicab

There are regular days of police officers on duty and there are some not like the others. When police are pulling over a vehicle, not every day you will see people exit while the car is still in motion.

On Wednesday, October 10th Winnipeg Police Drug Enforcement Unit followed a taxicab that was driving evasively. When they tried to stop the vehicle near Boyd Avenue two men from the back seat opened the doors and decided to exit the car while it was still moving.

Two suspects wanted to get away from police that way, but an officer spotted a firearm on one of them and both men were stopped and arrested. Keifer Bruce Stone, 22, has been charged with possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

The second suspect was later released without any charges. As per police, there are no more details due to the investigation is still continues.
